Regenerative Governance

Decentralized governance plays a pivotal role in climate change frameworks due to its ability to tailor responses to local conditions, engage communities, foster innovation, and build resilience. It allows for region-specific strategies that consider local vulnerabilities and capacities, leading to more effective climate action. By involving local communities, it ensures sustainable solutions that leverage local knowledge. They enhance resilience by not relying on a single central authority, which is crucial given the increasing climate-induced disruptions. Furthermore, decentralized governance promotes equity and justice by giving a voice to marginalized groups in decision-making processes.

The Regens of Earth

Regens are ancient earth beings that were here at the beginning of time, but have since been forgotten by humanity. As humanity has degraded the global ecology, the Regens have retreated to the earth’s core. The Earth Ether protocol is summoning them to return to the upper surface of the planet to spark a regen-aissance of ecological wellbeing.

Regen NFTs bestow governance authority over the Earth Ether protocol, and allow Earth Nodes to operate, becoming increasingly rare as they regenerate the planet in direct and measurable ways based off the block rewards generated by that Earth Node, and the corresponding air and water pollution reduced as a result.

Regens use their ray to radiate energy that heals and regenerates nature, creating harmony and balance for all life on earth, and can choose to regenerate the planet in two classes as their primary focus:

  1. Water Regens bond to Earth Nodes validating blocks for cleaning up our oceans and reducing microplastics.
  2. Air Regens bond to Earth Nodes validating blocks for cleaning up our atmosphere and reducing PM2.5's.

Regen Impact

Regens become increasingly rare as the Earth Nodes they are bonded to generate more measurable ecological benefit through staking. The ecological impacts are measurable and verifiable, and as a help reduce real economic damages to the planet, and aim to create new ReFi asset that measures ecological and humanitarian benefit in ways traditional finance is lacking.

When ETH is staked on Earth Ether, a portion of the reward fees go to fund highly proven, measurable and scalable regenerative projects around the world. These projects are vetted and managed by world renowned scientists, innovators and researchers to identify the most effective impact projects that can prove clear results per dollar. In effect, this enables Regens to turn financial capital into ecological capital.

The Earth Node will be encoded with the impact data that proves the real-life environmental benefit that was achieved through staking. So, Regens represent the impact that they have generated in the real-world. Art is perceived value, and we believe that there is no greater art than the planet itself. By generating proven ecological benefit, each Regen is a direct expression of regenerating and protecting our most valuable asset–our planet.

Fair Distribution

Regens can only be acquired through auction. To acquire a Regen, you must stake your EARTH for at least 1 year. The price of each Regen will be established through bidding. The first 108 Regens will be Cores that afford [insert early adopter benefit].

After the Cores are gone, the Regen first wave collection will be released, followed by the Second Waves, paving the way for the Regen Corps.

The bidder with the highest IYQ at the end of the bidding time will be awarded with the NFT.

  1. Regen Cores (64) (Estimated Release: September, 2023) There will be a total of 64 Regen Prime NFTs. These will be PFP style art that represents the forerunner wave of Earth Ether adopters, and they are the most rare tier of Regens. Regen Primes will be minted by auction and awarded to the highest bidder with the longest staking period.

Regen Cores bestow the highest level of benefit to Earth Ether early adopters, as they boldly pioneer a new regenerative model for the Ethereum ecosystem.

Cultural Evolutions

Regens can evolve into a total of 3 forms by staking multiple times.

  • Evolution 1 - Base form
  • Evolution 2 - First transformation
  • Evolution 3 - Second transformation (most rare)

Once an Regen has been purchased, it automatically stakes the ETH used to purchase the NFT into the Earth Ether liquid staking protocol (this puts the Regen in a “burrowed state”). Once staking has completed, the Regen is un-burrowed. The Regen NFT can be burrowed again to re-stake ETH.

Once the Regen has been staked at least 6 months with at least 10% allocated to Impact Yield, it will trigger an evolution to its second Evolution. If repeated, the Regen NFT will go through another transformation to achieve it’s third Evolution (and most rare form).
